Director of Research and Portfolio Manager

With an extensive background managing portfolios of various fixed income strategies, Nicholas currently serves as the Director of Research and Portfolio Manager.  Since 2001, he has been a Principal and Co-Founder of Wilfrid Aubrey LLC, an investment boutique specializing in Special Situations and direct Real Estate investing.   He is primarily  responsible for analyzing individual portfolios and providing research capabilities for situations requiring more in-depth analysis. As the portfolio manager for the Wilfrid Global Opportunity Fund, Nicholas was responsible for numerous top 10 performance results over several periods as measured by the BarclayHedge Alternative Investment Database in the Distressed Securities sector.

Prior to co-founding Wilfrid Aubrey LLC, he was a Vice President at J. & W. Seligman & Co., a New York based asset management firm, where he served as a fixed income portfolio manager for a variety of institutional clients.  Nicholas also has experience in municipal finance, working for Alliance Capital Management on their tax-exempt fixed income securities trading desk. Nicholas also worked for the Industrial Financial Company, a boutique investment firm specializing in distressed investing and corporate restructurings.  Mr. Walsh received a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Tufts University in 1990 and achieved the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 1999.  Mr. Walsh is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and has served on the Board of Directors of Dynacore Holdings, Contour Energy, Mississippi Phosphates Corporation,  and various court appointed creditor committees.
